Breakdown

This wild little project had several initial ideas and ended up swimming between a third person shooter and visual novel insanity.

We gathered references of several city streets and structures with the intention of creating lived in spaces that a rage filled swan could shoot his way through.  A core limitation we had to deal with was a lack of assets but the general idea of a rainy destroyed series of blocks was successfully shown.

The office level was definitely our weakest because we didn't lock in a core vision for it. I would spend time on this level in particular if I had the chance to. I do think that the level feels lived in and the space looks nice but we couldn't decide what we wanted the space to be.

All in all I would say the most important thing I've taken from this game jam is the importance of not only documenting your core ideas and themes but even the levels created. It was a lot of fun though, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
